TEDWomen

I sent in my submission for TEDWomen. How I want to change the world...that was the question. Do you know TEDtalks...Ideas worth spreading?
All the movers and shakers and those with amazing ideas who are changing the world gather together once a year and share. It's amazing! You can view the talks on line now. http://www.ted.com/
This is the woman's version, although men will be welcome. I've had friends involved with TED since it's inception out in California years ago. There will be 4 winners and I sure would love to be one but you know how it goes. The winners receive an all expense paid trip to attend the inaugural TEDWomen conference in DC this December.

Here's what I sent

After 30 years as a songwriter/recording artist and inspired by the healing power music has on trauma, I launched Songbird Sings to help survivors break the silence that hides violence, one song at a time. The mission: Heal those who have been silenced by domestic violence, PTSD, childhood abuse, war and incarceration and help them find their voice through the powerful medium of songwriting. I have been a witness to the profound healing and recovery experienced by the participating women.

  1. Hey Robin,

Responding for your request to comment on your blog. Longtime admirer of your music. I had an Ex-Gf who suffered from MPD likely due to abuse. If what your doing helps, that's great!

    Ciao For Now~!
